Ingredients
6 pieces leftover stuffed Medjool dates
1 whole orange
Instructions
- 1
Retrieve the 6 leftover stuffed Medjool dates (which were prepped and frozen on Day 2) from the freezer.
- 2
Using a sharp utility knife, slice each frozen date in half crosswise to expose the beautiful layers of creamy almond butter, chocolate chips, and chopped almonds inside.
- 3
Arrange the sliced date halves cut-side up on a clean serving plate.
- 4
Wash 1 whole orange under cold water and pat it completely dry with a paper towel.
- 5
Using a microplane or fine grater, grate a very light dusting of fresh orange zest (about 1/2 tsp total) directly over the exposed almond butter filling of the dates to add a bright, citrusy aroma.
- 6
Allow the dates to rest at room temperature for 5 minutes to soften slightly before serving, ensuring they remain perfectly chilled but easy to bite into.
