Chef's Note
Preheating your insulated thermos prevents immediate heat transfer, keeping your meal hot and food-safe for hours.

Ingredients
1.5 cups leftover lean ground turkey bolognese sauce
2.5 cups leftover cooked lentil pasta
2 cups fresh baby spinach
1 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
Instructions
- 1
Bring 2 cups of water to a boil on the stovetop or in a kettle.
- 2
Pour the boiling water into a high-quality insulated food thermos, seal the lid tightly, and let it sit for 5 minutes to preheat the interior stainless steel.
- 3
While the thermos preheats, place 1.5 cups of leftover lean ground turkey bolognese sauce and 2.5 cups of leftover cooked lentil pasta into a small saucepan over medium-low heat.
- 4
Gently stir the pasta and sauce together, adding 1 tablespoon of fresh water if needed to prevent sticking, and heat for 5 to 6 minutes until steaming hot (reaching an internal temperature of at least 165°F).
- 5
Thoroughly wash and pat dry 2 cups of fresh baby spinach.
- 6
Carefully pour the hot water out of the preheated thermos and wipe the inside dry with a clean paper towel.
- 7
Place the 2 cups of dry, fresh baby spinach directly into the bottom of the warm thermos; the residual heat will perfectly wilt the greens by lunchtime without making them soggy.
- 8
Spoon the steaming hot bolognese and lentil pasta mixture directly on top of the spinach layer inside the thermos.
- 9
Sprinkle 1 tbsp of grated parmesan cheese over the top of the pasta, then immediately seal the thermos lid tightly to lock in the heat for transport.
