Chef's Note
Adding a small splash of water when reheating pasta is the best way to prevent the sauce from becoming too thick or oily, ensuring a silky restaurant-quality finish.

Ingredients
1/2 lb ground beef
4 oz spaghetti
1 cup crushed tomatoes
1 clove garlic
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp dried basil
1/2 cup frozen peas
2 tbsp parmesan cheese
Instructions
- 1
Retrieve the 1/2 lb ground beef, 1 cup crushed tomatoes, 1 clove garlic (previously peeled and minced), 1/2 tsp dried oregano, and 1/2 tsp dried basil that were simmered together earlier in the week.
- 2
Place this bolognese sauce mixture into a large skillet over medium-low heat.
- 3
Add 2 tbsp water to the skillet, which will help loosen the sauce and restore its glossy texture as it warms.
- 4
Rinse 1/2 cup frozen peas under cold water to remove any surface ice, then add them to the skillet.
- 5
Simmer the sauce and peas for 8 minutes, stirring occasionally and seasoning with a pinch of salt and pepper to taste.
- 6
Add the 4 oz of spaghetti (previously boiled and stored) to the skillet with the sauce.
- 7
Toss the pasta with the sauce for 4-5 minutes using tongs until the noodles are completely heated through and the sauce is evenly distributed.
- 8
Divide the spaghetti between two bowls and sprinkle each with 1 tbsp parmesan cheese before serving.
