1/2 medium apple

25 grams vanilla whey protein powder
15 grams walnut halves

Wash 1/2 medium apple under cold water, remove the core, and dice it into small 1/2-inch pieces.

In a small saucepan, combine 1/3 cup rolled oats, 1 cup water, a pinch of salt, the diced apple pieces, and 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon.

Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the liquid to a gentle boil.

Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oats are creamy and the apple pieces have softened.

Remove the saucepan from the heat and let it sit for 1 minute to cool slightly.

Vigorously stir in 1/2 cup plain non-fat Greek yogurt and 25 grams vanilla whey protein powder until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
