Chef's Note
Grinding the dry oats into a powder before adding any liquids is the professional secret to a perfectly creamy protein shake without the texture of raw oats.

Ingredients
0.5 cup old fashioned rolled oats
0.5 cup whole milk
2 cups plain whole milk Greek yogurt
70 grams vanilla whey protein isolate
1.33 tablespoons raw honey
1.33 tablespoons raw almond butter
2 cups frozen mixed berries
0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- 1
Measure 0.5 cup old fashioned rolled oats into the canister of a high-speed blender.
- 2
Pulse the 0.5 cup oats on high speed for 30 seconds until they are ground into a fine, flour-like powder to ensure the shake is smooth and not gritty.
- 3
Pour 0.5 cup whole milk and 2 cups plain whole milk Greek yogurt into the blender directly over the oat powder.
- 4
Add 70 grams vanilla whey protein isolate and 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon to the blender canister.
- 5
Add 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon raw honey and 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon raw almond butter to the mixture.
- 6
Place 2 cups frozen mixed berries in a colander and rinse under cold running water for 10 seconds to remove surface ice crystals, then add them to the blender.
- 7
Add 1 cup of water and 1 cup of ice cubes (pantry staples) to the blender to achieve the desired consistency.
- 8
Secure the lid and blend on high speed for 60 to 90 seconds until the mixture is completely purple and smooth, with no visible bits of oats or frozen berries.
- 9
Pour the shake into four chilled glasses, serving approximately 1.5 cups per person, and serve immediately.
