For a fun variation, try using a cookie cutter to create shaped apple slices that kids (or adults!) will love. You can also substitute almond butter or sunflower seed butter if preferred.

3 whole large apples
6 tablespoons natural peanut butter
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Wash the 3 apples thoroughly under cold running water.

Place the apple on a cutting board, and using a sharp knife, cut around the core to create 4 large pieces from each apple.

Slice each apple quarter into approximately 1/4-inch thick slices.

Place apple slices in a bowl and sprinkle with 1 teaspoon of lemon juice to prevent browning.

Sprinkle 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon over the apple slices and gently toss to coat evenly.

Divide the 6 tablespoons of peanut butter between two small dipping bowls (3 tablespoons each).
