Chef's Note
For extra flavor, marinate the drumsticks in half of the sauce mixture for 1-2 hours before cooking. Just be sure to reserve the other half of the sauce for glazing during cooking, as you should never reuse marinade that's been in contact with raw chicken.

Ingredients
4 pieces chicken drumsticks
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons honey
2 cloves garlic
1 teaspoon fresh ginger
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 teaspoon sesame oil
2 stalks green onions
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- 1
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- 2
Pat 4 chicken drumsticks dry with paper towels and season with 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper.
- 3
Mince 2 cloves of garlic and grate 1 teaspoon of fresh ginger.
- 4
Thinly slice 2 green onions, separating the white and green parts.
- 5
In a bowl, whisk together 3 tablespoons soy sauce, 2 tablespoons honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, 1 tablespoon rice vinegar, and 1 teaspoon sesame oil.
- 6
Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
- 7
Add the chicken drumsticks and sear for about 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
- 8
Pour half of the honey-soy sauce mixture over the chicken, turning to coat evenly.
- 9
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes.
- 10
After 20 minutes, remove the skillet from the oven and brush the remaining sauce over the drumsticks. (Note: Only add the honey glaze at this point to prevent burning).
- 11
Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the glaze is sticky and caramelized.
- 12
Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- 13
Garnish with the sliced green parts of the green onions before serving.
