Chef's Note
For easier peeling, use eggs that are at least 7-10 days old rather than very fresh eggs. The membrane between the shell and egg white weakens over time, making older eggs easier to peel.

8 large eggs
6 oz beef jerky
2 cups baby carrots
1 cup cherry tomatoes
1 medium cucumber
1/4 cup hummus
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper

Place 8 large eggs in a single layer in a saucepan and cover with cold water by 1 inch.

Bring water to a boil over high heat.

Once boiling, remove the pan from heat, cover, and let sit for 12 minutes.

While eggs are cooking, wash 1 cup of cherry tomatoes and set aside.

Wash and peel 1 medium cucumber, then slice into sticks.

Drain and rinse 2 cups of baby carrots.

When eggs are done, transfer them to a bowl of ice water to cool for 2 minutes.

Peel the eggs and slice them in half. Sprinkle with 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/8 teaspoon pepper.

Arrange the eggs, 6 ounces of beef jerky, cucumber sticks, cherry tomatoes, and baby carrots on a plate.

Place 1/4 cup of hummus in a small bowl for dipping the vegetables.
