Chef's Note
If you can't find ground duck at your local store, ground turkey or ground chicken works perfectly as a substitute. You can also use leftover rice from takeout or make instant rice in the microwave while the meat cooks to save even more time!

Ingredients
6 oz ground duck or ground turkey
1/2 tsp Chinese five-spice powder
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp hoisin sauce
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp vegetable oil
4 large leaves butter lettuce leaves
1.5 cups pre-shredded coleslaw mix
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1/2 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp honey
3/4 cup cooked white rice
1 stalk green onion
1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- 1
Rinse 4 large butter lettuce leaves under cold water, pat dry with paper towels, and set aside on a plate.
- 2
Thinly slice 1 green onion and set aside for garnish.
- 3
In a small bowl, mix together 1.5 cups pre-shredded coleslaw mix, 1 tablespoon rice vinegar, 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil, 1 teaspoon honey, and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Stir well and set aside.
- 4
Heat 1 teaspoon vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat for 1 minute.
- 5
Add 6 oz ground duck to the hot skillet and break it up with a wooden spoon. Cook for 4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked through.
- 6
Add 1/2 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce, and 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder to the cooked meat. Stir well and cook for 1 minute until the sauce coats the meat.
- 7
Remove skillet from heat. Warm 3/4 cup cooked white rice in the microwave for 45 seconds.
- 8
To assemble, place 3 tablespoons of warm rice in each lettuce leaf, top with the seasoned duck mixture, add a generous portion of the hoisin slaw, drizzle with remaining 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce, and garnish with sliced green onions.
- 9
Fold the lettuce around the filling like a taco and enjoy immediately.
