Chef's Note
For the most tender beef, freeze it for 20 minutes before slicing - this makes it easier to cut into thin strips. You can also substitute pre-cut beef strips to save even more time!

2 pounds flank steak
6 cups broccoli florets
4 cloves garlic
4 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 cup soy sauce
3 tablespoons brown sugar
6 cups cooked white rice
Instructions

Slice 2 pounds of flank steak into thin strips against the grain.

Mince 4 cloves of garlic.

Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.

Add the beef strips and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove from pan and set aside.

Add remaining 2 tablespoons of oil to the pan and add 6 cups of broccoli florets. Cook for 3 minutes until bright green but still crisp.

Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Return beef to the pan. Add 1/2 cup soy sauce and 3 tablespoons brown sugar. Stir to combine.

Cook for 1-2 minutes until sauce thickens slightly and coats the beef and broccoli.

Serve immediately over 6 cups of cooked white rice, divided among 4 plates.
