Chef's Note
For extra flavor, you can sprinkle the wonton strips with a pinch of five-spice powder or cinnamon before serving. Make sure your oil isn't too hot or the wontons will burn quickly!

6 sheets wonton wrappers
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon rice vinegar
1/8 teaspoon salt

Cut each wonton wrapper into 3 equal strips using a knife or kitchen scissors.

Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a small pan over medium heat.

Once the oil is hot, add the wonton strips in a single layer (you may need to work in batches).

Fry for about 30-45 seconds per side until golden brown and crispy.

Remove the crispy wonton strips with a slotted spoon and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil. Sprinkle with 1/8 teaspoon salt while still hot.

In a small bowl, mix 1 tablespoon honey, 1 teaspoon soy sauce, and 1/2 teaspoon rice vinegar to make the dipping sauce.

Serve the crispy wonton strips immediately with the sweet dipping sauce on the side.
