For extra crispy French toast sticks, let the bread sit out for about 30 minutes before dipping in the egg mixture. This helps the bread absorb more of the custard without becoming too soggy. You can also prepare the egg mixture the night before to save time in the morning!

15 slices thick-cut white bread
10 large eggs
2 cups milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 teaspoons cinnamon
4 tablespoons butter
1 cup maple syrup
2 cups strawberries
5 medium bananas
2 cups blueberries

Cut each slice of bread into 3 equal sticks, making 45 sticks total.

In a large bowl, whisk together 10 large eggs, 2 cups of milk, 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract, and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon until well combined.

Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat.

Dip bread sticks into the egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off, then place in the hot skillet.

Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown. Work in batches, using 1 tablespoon of butter for each batch.
