Chef's Note
For the best flavor and texture, allow the cottage cheese mixture to chill for at least 30 minutes before serving. This gives the flavors time to meld together. If you prefer a smoother texture, you can pulse the cottage cheese in a food processor a few times before adding the other ingredients. For a make-ahead option, prepare the base and store toppings separately, combining just before serving to maintain the crunch of the nuts.
