Chef's Note
For the best texture and flavor, choose crisp apple varieties like Honeycrisp, Pink Lady, or Gala. To prevent the almond butter mixture from becoming too thick, make sure your Greek yogurt is at room temperature before mixing. For a more indulgent version, you can drizzle a small amount of dark chocolate over the top.

Ingredients
2 whole large apples (preferably Honeycrisp or Gala)
4 tablespoons natural almond butter
1/2 cup Greek yogurt
1 teaspoon honey
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons chopped walnuts
1 tablespoon hemp seeds
1 teaspoon chia seeds
1 tablespoon dried cranberries (unsweetened)
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons protein powder (unflavored or vanilla)
Instructions
- 1
Wash and core the 2 apples. Slice them into 1/4-inch thick wedges.
- 2
In a small bowl, toss the apple slices with 1 teaspoon of lemon juice to prevent browning.
- 3
In a medium bowl, mix 4 tablespoons of almond butter with 1/2 cup of Greek yogurt until smooth and well combined.
- 4
Add 1 teaspoon of honey, 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon to the almond butter mixture. Stir well.
- 5
Fold in 2 tablespoons of protein powder until fully incorporated. This will boost the protein content without significantly altering the flavor.
- 6
Toast 2 tablespoons of chopped walnuts in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 3-4 minutes until fragrant, stirring frequently to prevent burning. Set aside to cool.
- 7
Arrange the apple slices on two serving plates.
- 8
Divide the almond butter mixture between the two plates, placing it in the center for dipping.
- 9
Sprinkle each plate with 1 tablespoon of toasted walnuts, 1/2 tablespoon of hemp seeds, 1/2 teaspoon of chia seeds, and 1/2 tablespoon of dried cranberries.
- 10
Serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate for up to 2 hours.
