For a no-bake version, simply skip the toasting step and mix all ingredients together. The toasting adds a nice flavor dimension, but it's still delicious without it. You can also customize this trail mix with your favorite nuts and dried fruits while maintaining the protein content from the whey powder.

1/4 cup rolled oats
10 whole almonds
1 tablespoon pumpkin seeds
1 tablespoon dried cranberries
1 tablespoon dark chocolate chips
10 pieces pretzel sticks
1 teaspoon honey
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon salt

Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a medium bowl, combine 1/4 cup rolled oats, 10 almonds, and 1 tablespoon pumpkin seeds.

Drizzle 1 teaspoon honey over the mixture and sprinkle with 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon and 1/8 teaspoon salt. Stir until evenly coated.

Spread the mixture evenly on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes, stirring halfway through, until lightly toasted.

Remove from oven and let cool completely (about 5 minutes).

Once cooled, transfer to a bowl and mix in 1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder, 1 tablespoon dried cranberries, 1 tablespoon dark chocolate chips, and 10 pretzel sticks.
