4 medium chicken breasts
2 large eggs
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 cups marinara sauce
1 cup mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup fresh basil
12 ounces spaghetti

Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).

Place chicken breasts between plastic wrap and pound to an even 1/2-inch thickness.

Season chicken on both sides with salt and pepper.

In a shallow dish, beat eggs with 1 tablespoon of water.

In another dish, combine breadcrumbs, 1/4 cup of parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder.

Dip each chicken breast in the egg mixture, then coat thoroughly in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.

Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.

Cook chicken until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.

Pour marinara sauce around (not on top of) the chicken in the skillet.

Sprinkle mozzarella and remaining parmesan over each chicken breast.

Transfer skillet to the oven and bake until cheese is melted and chicken reaches 165°F internally, about 15-20 minutes.

Meanwhile, cook spaghetti according to package directions.
